This page is the authoritative text. The PDF is the same document, for your records.

  • Audio recording and transcription happen locally on your device; audio is never sent to our servers or to an AI provider (§2).
  • Two things involve a server, and both are your choice: AI enhancement sends only the transcript text you ask to enhance, never audio (§2, §5 “AI enhancement”); cloud sync stores the transcripts you choose to sync — 7 days on Free, indefinitely on a paid plan while active (§2).
  • Voice embeddings that tell speakers apart stay on your device, even when a profile name syncs (§2).
  • We don't sell personal data or use it for advertising. The optional analytics below only runs after you opt in, and we honor Global Privacy Control either way (§3, §5).
  • You can access, correct, delete or export what we hold by writing to contact@cohearo.com (§9).

This site sets no advertising cookies (§5 “Analytics and diagnostics choices”).

Strictly necessary

Remembers the choice you make here so we don't ask again for 180 days. Can't be switched off without losing that memory (§6).

Aggregate analytics

Turns on PostHog product analytics — page addresses, device details and how you use the site. It sets a cookie that, if you later sign in, can be linked to your account. Off by default; never sold or used for advertising (§3, §5 “PostHog”).

No choice made yet, so analytics is off. This choice is remembered on this browser only.

We separately count page views and download clicks on our own infrastructure, without cookies or a cross-visit identifier — that continues either way (§5).

The architecture does the work

Audio recording and transcription run entirely on your device, on every plan (§2).
