OFFICIAL COHEARO PLUGIN
1. Install the Cohearo plugin
Install Cohearo for ChatGPT →
Open the official listing and click Install plugin.
3. Ask ChatGPT about your recordings
Start a chat, mention @Cohearo, and ask about a recording or topic:
@Cohearo Summarize my latest recording and highlight decisions and action items.
@Cohearo Find recordings where we discussed the project budget.
@Cohearo Show my folders and help me find a recording.
Ask for the source recording so you can check the answer against the transcript.
What you can do
- Find a conversation. Search by keyword, date, speaker, folder, or label, including recordings in folders shared with you.
- Work from your transcripts. Summarize discussions, compare interviews, or extract decisions and action items.
- Organize your recordings. Rename recordings, update labels, and correct speaker names. Changes to a speaker name apply across transcripts that reference that speaker.
For long recordings, ask ChatGPT to read the full relevant transcript before drawing conclusions. See Tools & permissions for details about what Cohearo can read and change.
Also available in Codex
ChatGPT and Codex share OpenAI’s plugin directory. In Codex, open Plugins, find the official Cohearo plugin, and follow the prompts to install it and connect your account. Select or mention Cohearo in a task to work with your recordings.
If something looks wrong
I can’t install the plugin
Make sure you are signed in to ChatGPT and opening the official listing above. If you use a managed workspace, check with your administrator that Cohearo is allowed.
ChatGPT does not use Cohearo
Check that Cohearo is installed and your account is connected. Select it in the conversation’s tools menu or mention @Cohearo explicitly, then try the request in a new chat.
The connection has no recordings
Check that you signed in to the same Cohearo account as your dashboard and that your transcripts have synced to the cloud. Start with a known topic without date filters. Recordings kept only on your device cannot be searched by the plugin.
Access and disconnecting
Cohearo can read your recordings and recordings available through shared folders. It also includes editing tools for your own recordings, such as changing titles, labels, and speaker names. Review the permissions when you connect.
To disconnect, open Settings → Connected applications in the Cohearo dashboard and select Disconnect. Also remove or disable Cohearo in your AI client. Disconnecting prevents token renewal; an existing access token can remain valid for up to one hour.
